“Come to Brazil!”

Brazil is famously known for its delicious food, talent in soccer, stunning landscapes, and repetitive catchphrases. One of which is “come to Brazil”, a quote said to many celebrities worldwide by their Brazilian fans. Well, guess what: in 2023, artists decided to grant fans’ requests by announcing several performances in our beautiful country! Here are a few of the most well-known performers for this year in São Paulo.

February

  • Imagine Dragons (28th)

This band has an unbroken legacy of only releasing hit songs. If you try hard enough (and have some luck too), you might make it to the show and listen to “Believer”, “Bones”, “Bad Liar”, “Enemy”, and many more still this month!

March

  • Big Time Rush (3rd)

The famous American early-2000s boy band has decided to strike back at the rush of performing on stage! Imagine the deja vu when listening to “Boyfriend”.

  • Paramore (12th)

The American rock band, Paramore, might have written your favourite early 2000s songs and you might not even know it. Listen to “Still Into You” if you don’t believe me!

  • Coldplay (10th, 11th, 13th, 14th, 17th and 18th)

All I can say is that I am extremely upset about not being able to go watch this once-in-a-lifetime performance. After rescheduling their stay in Brazil after a startling announcement of the lead singer Chris Martin's health condition last year, Coldplay will arrive soon.

  • Lollapalooza | Billie Eilish, Drake, Rosalía, blink-182 (24th, 25th, 26th)

What if all of your favourite artists were performing at the same place? This year’s Lollapalooza is filled with promise with these amazing singers.

April

  • Ultra Brasil | Marshmello, DJ Snake, Alan Walker (22nd)

This perfect combo will make the perfect night out with your friends and family.

May

  • C6 Fest | Samara Joy (19th and 21st)

The two-time Grammy winner this year, one of which won from Anitta in the category for Best New Artist, is arriving to show off her talent.

June

  • MITA Festival (3rd and 4th)

This event consists of your favourite melancholy artists. That’s right, this means that Lana Del Rey, Florence + The Machine, Sabrina Carpenter, and many more will be there to shed some tears with you.

July

  • Asia Star Festival (7th)

If you are a k-pop fan, going to this festival will be the time of your life.

September

  • The Town | Foo Fighters, Maroon 5, Post Malone, Bruno Mars (2nd, 3rd, 8th, 9th, 10th)

I dare you to dislike any of these artists… This is what I call “the dream team”! Not to mention the very long-awaited return of Bruno Mars.

October

  • The Weeknd (10th and 11th)

I can simply say that I am overwhelmed with excitement for being able to watch this man perform live.

Unannounced Performers

Besides not being announced yet, rumour has it these singers are also “coming to Brazil” this year.

  • Rod Stewart (September)

  • Taylor Swift (between September and October)

  • Ed Sheeran (October)

  • Red Hot Chili Peppers (November)

  • Roger Waters (between November and December)

This year is filled with amusement, given that tickets are most likely to be sold out. It seems as if Brazil is impacting performers as much as these performers are impacting Brazilians, which means that we can expect next year to be similarly (if not more) exhilarating as 2023. If any of your favourite artists are on this simplified list, go buy your ticket before it is too late!
